Civil Weddings in San Gimignano
San Gimignano remains one of Tuscany’s quintessential medieval hill towns, with its magical silhouette of 14 towers which can be viewed from miles away. San Gimignano is a delight to explore on foot. Inside you will discover romantic squares, experience astounding panoramic views from its ancient walls and towers, and taste the marvelous food in its rustic restaurants.
A San Gimignano civil wedding ceremony is held in the Hall of Dante which is reached via a romantic cloistered medieval entrance. The wedding hall is named after the writer Dante who delivered some of his political speeches there; it is richly frescoed and furnished with antiques. Upon exiting Dante’s hall you have access to one of the towers enjoying incomparable views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. This is one of the finer Tuscan wedding halls for civil ceremonies.
Your wedding reception in San Gimignano will include the finest local ingredients; Tuscans are justifiably proud of their cuisine and wines and rely on local, seasonal ingredients. Your wedding meal can be held at one of San Gimignano’s authentic restaurants or in the fine selection of castles, villas and unique hotels we offer in the surrounding countryside.
