The medieval castle is named after the English Consul, Montague Yeats Brown, who owned the structure from 1867 to 1949. A Catholic wedding in Portofino can be celebrated in one of the most panoramic churches in the entire Italian Riviera, situated on a promontory overlooking the entire Portofino Bay! The church is reached from the main piazza via footpath with sweeping views of the cliffs and waters. It was originally built in 1154 and subsequent additions were made in 1691 and 1760 with a final restoration completed in 1950. The outside is a beautiful pastel yellow and white and the interiors are decorated in pristine white marble and stucco, elaborate hanging chandeliers, and paintings. The general atmosphere is one of elegant intimacy and the church is ideal for smaller weddings; the maximum capacity is 60.
