The dining room is our favorite hall. You must see it to truly appreciate what a remarkable room it is and how incredible the views are. Castle Giacomo is one of the most requested castles in the Chianti area.  The castle dates back to 1252, but it is supposed that it is much older. History of Villa Balbianello

The villa is situated in the town of Lenno and was was built in 1787 on the very tip of a peninsula by a cardinal. It was further improved by Giuseppe Visconti who created the romantic loggia and gardens of today and later purchased and restored in the early 20th century by an American military officer, Butler Ames. It is now managed by the National Trust of Italy.  Villa Balbianello has been featured in the James Bond movie Casino Royale and also the Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. The interior of the villa houses a museum of rich artifacts collected by the explorer Guido Monzino who led the first Italian expedition to climb Mount Everest.  He was the last owner of Villa Balbianello and gifted the villa to the National Trust of Italy.

A Villa Balbianello wedding reception can be held outdoors either under a marquee (required if using the gardens) or under the loggia or in the newly built Loggia Segre'. A civil, religious blessing or symbolic wedding ceremony at Villa Balbianello can take place under the beautiful arches of its ancient loggia which allows guests to enjoy the incredible panorama of lake and gardens. The loggia holds approximately 30/40 guests. In case of rain, the ceremony can move indoors inside the beautiful library, which is furnished with antiques. It too holds about 30/40 guests.  Lrager numbers can be accommodated in the Loggia Segre' or under a marquee.

This grand Renaissance Villa rises on a hill dominating the entire valley and the city of Florence. The views of the Tuscan countryside are exceptional. The large terrace and superb Italian Gardens are an enchanted setting for a wedding ceremony or reception near Florence. The interiors are furnished in original 17th and 18th century antiques along with frescoes and rich tapestries which adorn the magnificent ballroom walls. The villa is ideal for those planning an exclusive wedding event in Tuscany.
