Many of our couples choose to travel to Italy to visit venues in person. This not only helps you visualize your wedding day but also gives you the opportunity to meet with our team face-to-face.
Venue Sourcing Overview
Our Venue Sourcing Service offers couples exclusive access to a curated selection of venues, including many that are not listed on our website. This service is ideal for those seeking a personalized and comprehensive venue search experience.
Format & Flexibility
- Venue sourcing can be conducted virtually, in person, or a combination of both, depending on your ability to travel to Italy.
- If you have already hired us as your wedding planners, venue sourcing is included in your planning package.
What’s Included in the Venue Sourcing Day
- A tailored selection of venues in a specific region
- A dedicated consultation with a team member to discuss your event
- All necessary appointments scheduled with your selected venues
- A 1-day guided tour (up to 6 hours) with a team member to visit your chosen venues
- Private transportation with a driver for the day (up to 6 hours).
Additional viewing days, regions or transportation hours are available at an extra cost

- Includes up to 6 hours of transportation with a private driver
- The number of venues visited depends on distance and travel time
- Additional hours are extra
- Itinerary will be confirmed prior to your trip

The venue sourcing fee will be fully credited toward your planning fees if a planning contract is signed within 3 days of the venue visit with DIW. After this period, €500 will be retained, and the remaining may still be applied to planning services.
Not Included
- Meals during the venue tour
- Airport transfers
- Return transfers if staying overnight at a venue
- Any unscheduled or last-minute transfers
- Boat/ferry tickets (e.g., Lake Como)
- Accommodation
- Additional days of venue visits
- Tastings or vendor meetings (not part of this service). These are never possible in high season.
Important Notes
- Venue availability is not guaranteed until a deposit is received.
- DIW must be contracted as your official planners to secure any venue.
- Do not book flights until we confirm availability for your visit.
- If you delay confirming a venue and it becomes unavailable, a new venue sourcing fee will apply for a second round of visits.
- Venue Sourcing fees are non-refundable in case of cancellation, non-confirmation of DIW, change of mind, or travel plan adjustments. However, the amount can be credited toward planning fees if you proceed with our full planning services.
