Venue sourcing includes additional access to exclusive venues not listed on our website that are available for couples that have selected this service. Venue sourcing can be virtual, or in person or both depending on your ability to travel to Italy.
Many of our couples choose to come to Italy and select their Italian wedding venue in person. This allows them to also envision what their wedding day will be like and meet with our team.
Our Venue Sourcing package includes a selection of carefully chosen venues in a maximum of 2 regions. We provide all the information you need to evaluate whether they fit your wedding vision and specific requirements.
Once you have chosen your favorite venues from our proposed list we will set up an itinerary and book appointments to view them with our team member one day. If you require additional days of viewings, these are extra. Transportation is included.
Venue Sourcing offers the added advantage of seeing how we work before taking the plunge of hiring a wedding planner and gives both parties the opportunity of seeing if we are a good fit.
The €650* fee for venue sourcing is credited towards the planning fees once you choose to confirm our services.
Depending on the region and distances, the maximum number of venues included in your day of visits is four (with Lake Como it can be more) out of the overall selection but this depends entirely on the distances and region. We include max 6 hours of transportation. We will always confirm the itinerary prior to your trip.
What is included:
- A selection of venues carefully selected based on your key criteria from which you will choose your final locations to be viewed in person. The choice varies by region, distances and logistics.
- Meeting with our team member to discuss your event on one of the days.
- All required appointments with your selected venues.
What is not included:
- Any meals during the venue sourcing are at your own cost
- Hotel transfers/airport transfers to venues
- Return transfer on the day after your visit, if you decide to sleep at the venue.
- Any transfers not previously discussed and agreed upon
- In Lake Como/Lakes – boat ferry tickets
- Hotel/accommodation
- Additional days – up to one day of viewings is included, any others can be added at extra charge.
The final itinerary for your venue sourcing day with our team depends on the distances between venues. If you think you may want to view more locations on additional days we have two options:
- Setting up itinerary and appointments for you to view the extra locations on your own. No extra charge to do this.
- We can take you around for additional days but there would be an extra charge which in this case is not refundable. The Euro 650 for the day of viewings instead is credited back to the planning fees.
Transportation options: these vary depending on the region/town so please check with your planner on this particular item. Maximum of 6 hours is included in transportation.
NB - Venue sourcing does not guarantee availability of any venue or of DIW. Until a deposit is received, a venue does not secure any dates and DIW requires a contract with deposit to formally be available.
Venue Sourcing is only to view venues. It does not include, tastings/vendor meetings.
To secure any venue you have selected during your sourcing a contract will need to first be signed with DIW as your representatives and wedding planners.
Please do not purchase any flights without first receiving the confirmation of availability from DIW for your visit!
If you avail yourself of the venue sourcing but then do not confirm a venue right away and availability expires at any of the venues viewed, the venue sourcing cannot be redone without payment of additional fee.
*Please Note: the Venue Sourcing once paid is not refundable in case of cancellation or change of mind or travel plans. Venues, transportation and our calendar time will have been blocked in good faith. The amount is only refunded back to any planning fees once executed, but not refunded as a stand alone service.
