Castello di Celsa
The spectacular Castello di Celsa is one of Tuscany’s finest “fairytale” castles with magnificent crenellated towers and battlements and romantic Italian gardens.
The Castle is located in the very heart ot Tuscany and overlooks the wonderful landscape that stretches from Siena to Monte Amiata. The original Castle dates back to the thirteenth century but has undergone refurbishment in the sixteenth century and then finally in the 19th century. It has belonged to the same family for about four centuries.
A wedding at Castello di Celsa is an unforgettable event. The reception can be held in the garden in front of the Chapel, or in the elegant indoor Barn that can hold up to 180 guests either on the porch or in one of the recently redecorated rooms.
The Italian gardens and the surrounding park embrace all the buildings, merging the manmade buildings and gardens with the breathtaking nature of the Tuscan countryside.
This mixture provides a marvelous sense of peace and tranquillity.
Below the tallest tower of the Castle is the sixteenth century chapel designed by Baldassarre Peruzzi, one of the most renowned architects of his time who worked both in Siena and Rome and also contributed to the renovation of the Castle.
