The 13th century village encompasses a restored villa and 18th century mansion and is surrounded by a number of rustic, stone farmhouses to accommodate everyone coming to celebrate. There are fourteen suites and rooms in the main villa, furnished with period furniture and dressed up in fine Italian linens. Occasional frescoes and local marble and limestone give an artful feeling of Italian history. Artful as well is the collection of paintings and drawings decorating walls. A look out the westerly suite window spies Volterra in the distance, while another view from the east spots San Gimignano's towers.
