This historic, noble residence on the shores of Lake Como offers some of the finest gardens and views of the Lake. It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and romantic Lake wedding locations available. The villa is a complex of buildings and flowering gardens, rich in history, built mainly between 1400 and 1800. Originally the property of the noble Serponti family (1163) it passed into the hands of various other noble European families throughout the centuries.
The Villa is also a 3* hotel offering charming rooms and modern amenities.
The lake view park is the highlight of this location and a beautifully arranged civil ceremony is possible outside, surrounded by the spectacular views over Lake Como. Several grand, richly decorated frescoed halls are also available for wedding receptions and ceremonies in case of bad weather. After your civil ceremony, enjoy cocktails on the various terraces while admiring the incredible panorama before you. It is possible to dine outdoors or indoors depending on your preference. The various terraces with panoramic views are an ideal place to begin your celebration with cocktails and Italian Prosecco. The celebration can continue outdoors or, for a change of scenery, move indoors in the grand salons with frescoed ceilings.
Wedding Ceremony
There is a fee to be paid for holding a civil wedding in this villa in addition to that charged by the Varenna Wedding Hall. Weather permitting, the ceremony is held outdoors, on a terrace overlooking Lake Como; otherwise in one of the interior halls.
