An 11th Century lookout tower high on a hill above Florence became 400 years later a magnificent family home belonging to aristocracy – Grand Duke Ferdinando II of the famous Medici family. The estate was continually enlarged and after the main Medici dynasty died out the Estate was purchased by its current owners who are excited to share their home with you.
LIMONAIA BANQUET HALL
Located next to the Medici Villa and its enchanted ancient garden, the sensitively restored Limonaia Banquet Hall is a grand, impressive and welcoming space.
With 247m2 floor space, our highly versatile Limonaia Banquet Hall offers a variety of layouts to suit your event; for example:
• cocktail receptions for up to 240 people,
• banquets with 10 round tables and an 80m2 dance floor, for 160 people
• classroom-style meetings for 140 people
• theatre-style meetings for 220 people
The large windows of this light and airy room look out on the Tuscan landscape and 17th century Medici Villa. There are large, wide-opening doors and easy disabled access. The room can be dimmed or specially lit to suit your event.
Right next to Limonaia Banquet Hall are the delightful Limonaia Courtyard and Garden, which can each be utilized to offer extra space for your guests.
THE COURTYARD
With 135m2 of space, Limonaia Courtyard lies between the main Villa and the Limonaia Banquet Hall and can comfortably host up to 130 people. The Courtyard has direct access to the Banquet Hall, making it an ideal extension to give you even more flexibility and add a charming extra dimension to your event.
THE LIMONAIA GARDEN
Open the doors on one side of the Limonaia Banquet Hall, and you can step straight into the Limonaia Garden: a delightful green space with a mesmerizing view of the Tuscan countryside.
At 235m2, the Limonaia Garden can easily accommodate all your guests from the Banquet Hall, so it’s ideal to utilize with the Hall, perhaps for a pre-event reception or a post-event party. You can also book the Limonaia Garden on its own; with room to welcome up to 230 guests, it’s a versatile and spacious setting for any gathering, formal or fun!
THE GRANARY BANQUET ROOM
Our Granaio Banquet Room presents the unique opportunity to meet and dine in authentic Medici surroundings. Carefully preserved to retain its centuries-old history, the Banquet Room offers 164m2 of versatile space with natural day light, for staging truly memorable banquets, meetings or drinks parties.
This wonderfully atmospheric room can be laid out for 100 seated guests around 10 round tables, or set up exactly as you wish.
THE PANORAMIC GARDENS
Stretching away from our Medici Villa and restored Limonaia Banquet Hall towards the Tuscan hills, the Medici Villa Garden is the largest outdoor space.
It’s incredibly versatile. With 2060m2 of possibilities, you could create a dazzling al fresco wedding feast or welcome up to 600 guests for cocktails at the ultimate garden party. Your guests can gaze out over the Tuscan hills, delight in discovering the ancient grotto and fountain or enjoy the shade and character of our venerable trees.
PANORAMIC TERRACE
The most spectacular views of Florence and the Tuscany countryside must surely be from the Villa’s Terrace. An event staged here is one your guests will savor and remember, with the opportunity to chat, sip drinks and watch the sun set over the Duomo.
The Medici Villa Terrace is 228m2, so there’s plenty of room for up to 220 guests for cocktails, or perhaps wine and food tastings. A wonderful space in its own right, it can also provide a highly convenient extension to the Medici Villa Granaio Banquet Room, which opens out onto the Terrace.

An incredible variety of spaces for every size wedding party awaits you. Intimate frescoed halls or spacious outdoor gardens overlooking the breathtaking panorama of the vineyards and Florence.
Civil and Catholic ceremonies are possible either in Florence or nearby towns. A civil ceremony is possible on site with our Protestant pastor authorized to celebrate directly at your preferred venue.
Receptions are caterered by a limited number of exclusive top catering companies.
